The Faithfulness of God

The Faithfulness of God

Esther Seeley | November 2024 | Volume 2 Issue 11

Recently, I have been overwhelmed thinking about God’s faithfulness. He has been so faithful to me. All through my childhood, I watched as God faithfully provided, called us to new places, kept us, and proved His love and goodness to us. As I get older and I have gone to college for a few years, again God has been faithful. Faithful to keep me, faithful to speak through His Word, and faithful to provide where He has guided me! I love this about God. He has always been and will always be faithful. I want to put my trust in a person who is faithful. While people on this earth can be very faithful, sometimes we fail. But God will never fail! That is a comfort to me, and I hope to you as well.

I encourage you to look back over your life, be it many or few years: How has God been faithful to you? There are so many ways this can be proven; in His speaking, in His promises kept, in guiding you, in providing for you, and much more. If you worry about the future, that can stop here. If you are trusting Him, your future is going to be okay, because He is faithful. He will hold you in the hollow of His hand and keep you safe while you rest in Him. Thank God today for being faithful to you, and renew your strength by trusting in that faithful God.

O Lord, Thou art my God; I will exalt Thee, I will praise Thy name; for Thou hast done wonderful things; Thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.”  Isaiah 25:1

Give Thanks:

Ideas to try this Thanksgiving Season!

Write thank-you cards to people who have impacted your life.
Give to those who are in need.
Make thankful lists to hang on your fridge.
Sing songs of thankfulness before or after dinner on Thanksgiving Day.
Give everyone around the room a jar and some paper. Each person writes 1 reason why they are thankful for each other person and puts it in their jar. Then the papers are read, and each guesses who wrote that paper for them!
